Wawa internship Summer 2021
How would you describe YSR working style?
What Was the Most Beneficial Experience for You?
Did I accomplish what I wanted to with this internship?
What is Content Marketing.
Content marketing is the process of planning, creating, distributing, sharing, and publishing content to reach your target audience. It can boost factors like brand awareness, sales, reach, interactions, and loyalty.
-
Content marketing attracts new customers by creating and sharing valuable free content. It helps companies create sustainable brand loyalty, provides valuable information to consumers, and creates a willingness to purchase products from the company in the future.
-
Content marketing is different than traditional product-marketing efforts like sales collateral and other product-specific info. It starts with identifying the customer's needs. Content marketing includes things like educational articles, e-books, videos, entertainment, and webinars that answer specific questions people have and provide them with something they can’t get elsewhere.
Types of Content Marketing
1. Social Media Content Marketing
2. Infographic Content Marketing
3. Blog Content Marketing
4. Podcast Content Marketing
5. Video Content Marketing
6. Paid Ad Content Marketing
Why Content Marketing?
Perhaps more important than understand what content marketing is, is understanding why content marketing is important to your business. First we need to understand the four steps of the buying cycle:
Awareness. Prior to awareness a customer may have a need, but they are not aware there is a solution.
Research. Once a customer is aware there is a solution, they will perform research to educate themselves. For example, a car buyer will try to find out what different types of cars exist, and which one will fit their needs.
Consideration. At this point the customer starts comparing different products from different vendors to make sure they’re getting a high quality product at a fair price.
Buy. Finally, the customer makes their decision and moves forward with the transaction.

What are your expectations before starting the internship program? Were you able to achieve it?
—
What are the things that you thought were difficult? Did you feel you have grown and gotten better in solving problems after the internship?
—
What is the most valuable thing you've learned from this internship?
—
Other than design skills, what do you think is important or necessary for work?
—
Did I accomplish what I wanted to with this internship?

—
What Was the Most Beneficial Experience for You?
—

Why People buy? Psychology of Purchase Decisions
Buyers respond psychologically to visual elements and stories
They relate more powerfully with visual components and stories of past successes. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and that certainly rings true for sales reps. Graphs and charts can go a long way in closing the buying gap. Meanwhile, stories of past successes resonate strongly with buyers because they can then picture themselves in the shoes of previous buyers, experiencing similar success.
Be The Expert : People tend to be hard-wired to respond to authority. And since you’re staff are highly qualified and expertly trained, you’ll want to make sure you highlight that during the path to purchase.
Make The Customer Feel Valued : This can be done by creating unforgettable customer experiences, or by simply giving them something for free.
Create Urgency : One of the oldest and most effective ways of making the sale is through an expiration date. People are afraid of missing out and are more likely to take action if they think there is an end date.
Optimize Customer Engagement Through Content : Content marketing has become a great way that business are achieving customer engagement in the modern era. Remember, customers, don’t like the hard sell or aggressive tactics. So marketers have begun to provide content for consumers to stumble upon themselves. The content you create could take many forms, from an animated infographic to an employee bio slide, to a limited time offer that creates urgency. But the important thing is that you’re not shoving it down your audience's throat. You’re letting them discover it for themselves.
Implement Digital Signage : The flexibility digital signage offers is unparalleled when it comes to in-store, point of sale marketing. People notice digital signs 400% more than static signage and one in about five customers will make an unplanned purchase because of something they saw on digital signage.

The differences between Branding and Marketing
Branding >
Name / Voice / Logo / Tagline / Fonts / Colors / Promises / Visual Style / Personality / Reputation
Marketing >

-
According to the American Marketing Association, BRANDING is "a name, term, design, symbol, or a combination of them, intended to identify the goods or services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiates them from the competitors”
BRAND IDENTITY is very important. Keeping the look and feel of your brand consistent should be a priority in order to build brand recognition.
An example is McDonald's and their logo, famously known as the Golden Arches. They've kept it consistent through the years and today we recognize the brand just by that golden letter M.
Once you've created solid branding, how do you get your brand out there?
That's where MARKETING comes in. Oxford Languages defines marketing as "the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising."
You need to create DEMAND for your product or service and having beautiful branding definitely helps!
Going back to McDonald's, they offer a Dollar Menu with items for one, two or three dollars. They made sure anyone can buy a quick and cheap meal for just a few dollars as part of their marketing strategy.
Sometimes, branding can be used to generate awareness and notoriety without the expenses of a large- scale marketing campaign - as long as it connects with your audience.
The two definitely overlap and one thing we know for sure is that using great branding together with a well- thought-out marketing plan can give any business a winning edge.
Brand Canvas
Instagram Influencers 💗
Consumers will continue to follow influencers as sources of information and inspiration as long as they feel trust is part of the value proposition. We believe that trusted influence—the thing that inspires taking action—is built on real relationships, and it’s these trusted relationships that influencers of all sizes and specialties should be judged by.
And it’s not just the relationships between consumers and influencers— but between influencers and brands as well. We believe that these relationships are also built on mutual trust and an alignment of values. Thirty-five percent of the consumers we surveyed say they pay attention to and trust what influencers say because they share their values. When brands and influencers align, they possess the potential not only to amplify influence and engage targeted audiences, but also to co-create cultural relevance for the brands they partner with.

8 Tips for content 📃✨
1. Don't try to be a mainstream news provider
2. Don't compromise on quality: journalism is a craft not a commodity.
3. Scale! Be willing to promote your content, to make sure it interrupts the interruptions. Don't be foolishly purist and expect you can just build it and they will come.
4. Recognized that you need an engine to drive it.
5. Don't forget why you are doing it. You are creating your own "walled garden" which people have to enjoy. Enjoyment has been proven to enhance not impede information processing.
6. Make it sticky: link a lot; balance stock and flow; create series and sequence; build loops.
7. Don't forget why you are doing it: who is the brand custodian and where is the brand conscience?
8. Personalize. And use higher cost content as a reward for loyalty.
